Locates next to Thuong Chieu monastery, it was established in 1975 by Bikkhuni Thuan Giac. Until 1983, it was formally named "Truc Lam Zen Center." Six years later, some areas had been renovated and expanded.

Because of the number of students had increased, the Master permitted for a reconstructionandrenamed it to "Huong"

"Huong Hai" monastery. In March of 2001, the reconstruction was done. Over 30 students learned and practiced the principle that Master Thich Thanh Tu had conducted.
